THUNDER ON THE HILL WELCOMES BACK CLEVER GIRL WINERY AS FAST TIME AWARD SPONSOR, THUNDER SERIES OPENER SET FOR SUNDAY NIGHT, MAY 29 AT THE GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY
BECHTELSVILLE, PA APRIL 20, 2022 – After an exciting first season being part of the NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series as a sponsor, Clever Girl Winery sets its sights on a “leading” role for 2022; like leading the field to the green flag!
Clever Girl Winery owner Don Andreas is proudly showing their newly lettered F-150 pickup truck and will pace the starting field for select events during the 2022 Thunder on the Hill Racing Series at Grandview Speedway.
“I’m amazed every time I meet someone at our tasting room who became familiar with Clever Girl Winery through our sponsorship with the Thunder Series”, said Andreas. “Clever Girl Winery is located in Bangor, PA, about an hour away from Grandview Speedway in Bechtelsville, PA, and it goes to show you the reach that local racing and its fans have.”
Clever Girl Winery’s tasting room at 15 Broadway in Bangor, PA is open Fridays through Sundays offering 15 terrific wines, beer selections, a light fare menu, and weekly signature sangrias. New for 2022, free live music is offered on select days.
A life-long fan of racing, Andreas got his daughter Chloe into small car racing at the age of 10. She spent 8 years racing slingshots, micro sprints, and eventually 305 sprint cars until college came calling in 2018. In addition to numerous visits to Grandview Speedway to watch racing, they made a stop on the Hill in 2014 for Chloe to race in a Junior National Slingshot race where she finished 4th in an 18-car field that included such future Grandview regulars as Alex Yankowski, Dakota Kohler, and Dylan Swinehart. Chloe will be graduating from Rutgers University in May and will spend the summer working with her dad at the winery tasting room.
In addition to Clever Girl’s pace car duties, they will be presenting the fast qualifiers at the June 14th Jesse Hockett Classic and the June 28th Pennsylvania Speedweek show with $150. Clever Girl Winery will also be back in victory lane with a bottle of wine for all the Thunder Series feature winners this season.
