FIRST TIME THUNDER MODIFIED WINNER POSSIBLE ON SUNDAY, MAY 29 AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY; PIONEER POLE BUILDINGS TRIPLE THUNDER THRILLER TO INCLUDE BIG BLOCK VS 358 MODIFIEDS, SPORTSMAN & TSRS SPRINTS 7:30 PM

With $5,000 on the line to win, $1,000 for tenth and $500 to start the 40 lap Big Block VS 358 Modified feature event, it’s very possible that a first time winner could emerge on Sunday night, May 29 when the NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series opens the 2016 season at the Grandview Speedway. Gates will open at 5 PM with race time set for 7:30 PM for the Triple Thunder Thriller program that will showcase the Big Block VS 358 Modified Challenge, the sportsman and TSRS Sprints. This big night of race is presented by Pioneer Pole Buildings.

So who could add their name as a first time Thunder on the Hill winner? Kyle Weiss, Ryan Watt, Jared Umbenhauer, Danny Erb, Ryan Grim, John Willman, Mike Kellner and Brett Kressley quickly come to mind as they have established themselves as strong contenders in previous Thunder events. Of course, their opposition will come from Craig VonDohren, Jeff Strunk, Duane Howard, Billy Pauch Jr, Ryan Godown and Rick Laubach just to name a few.

This big racing event will also find the Sportsman and the TSRS Sprints on the card competing in a series of heat race qualifying all leading up to the Triple Thunder Thriller “big 3” feature events.

The Thunder on the Hill Racing Series mainstay activities and promotions, providing fun for the fans with elements such as: Pre-Race Pit Tours, the Inside/Out Experience – where fans can sign-up to watch hot laps from the infield, the Low Down & Dirty Radio Show pre-race Meet & Greet, JOE “THE PIZZA DUDE”, giveaways, fireworks, and appearances by the Thunder Girls will all be part of the coming season, plus a few added surprises presented by GALCO Business Communications and Quaker Steak & Lube restaurants.

Advance tickets will be on sale this Saturday night, May 21st at Grandview Speedway. Advance ticket holders may enter the grandstand at 4:30 PM, one half hour prior to general admission tickets going on sale on race night. Pick up and pay for your tickets on race night at the Will Call window. Tickets may be picked up after 3 PM on race night.
