Vogel Race Designs Joins 9th Annual Dirt Track Heroes Show, March 6 – 12 AT Phillipsburg Mall
The Ninth Annual Quaker Steak & Lube Dirt Track Heroes Show continues to gain momentum as the successful gathering of the past, present and future of auto racing inches closer to the opening day of the event on March 6th. Quaker Steak & Lube has taken on the lead role of sponsorship for the event with additional associate sponsorship coming from IRCO Community Federal Credit Union, Smith Fabrications/Stage One Modifieds, Hamlin Speedway/S&S Speedways, Premio Foods and Alex’s Tire/Breidinger’s Speed Shop, the stage is set as additional sponsors are signing on to help showcase another great event set to return to the Phillipsburg Mall in 2016 with the opening day set for Sunday, March 6th. The show encompasses the majority of the local short track racing scene and will continue through Saturday night, March 12th. The Phillipsburg Mall, located on Route 22 East in Phillipsburg, NJ, has proven to be an ideal setting for this special event.
The show will once again offer a multitude of race cars, racing memorabilia, collectibles and photos on display throughout the course of the week long event and the always free of charge racing event continues to be the trend setter of the many shows that are scheduled throughout the year and gives the loyal racing fans a chance to see their favorite driving legends or one of the new upstarts talents chat about their racing careers and sign autographs for them. With an exciting and diverse schedule of events to whet the appetite of any true race fan, large crowds are expected to fill the wide walkways of the Phillipsburg Mall. This event has been a traditional Mall favorite and one of the leading attractions for the local racing fans.
The newest addition to the Dirt Track Heroes Show’s growing list of sponsors in 2016 is Vogel Race Design headed up by design wizard Jason Vogel. Vogel is a life long racing fan and has worked with many teams in the past and is currently working with young driving star, “The Edge” Eddie Strada, whose grandfather and father, both named Ed, had formidable racing careers on the Southern Tier racing circuit. Eddie captured the Hamlin Speedway 600 Sprint title in 2014 and 2015 and is branching out in 2016 in the Sprint Car ranks.
Jason is a graduate of the Bradley Academy for the Visual Arts with an Associates Degree and formed his own company in 2001 to begin putting graphics on commercial projects and local race cars in the area. His reputation as an expert in his field has kept his phone ringing off the hook and pointing towards a bright future for the aspiring graphic artist. Jason is of the belief it should not cost you an arm and a leg for sharp, high quality graphics and lettering and will work around each customer’s schedule to finish the job correctly and will travel to your shop or garage to work his magic. Cars on display include big and small block Modifieds, Sportsman, Micro-Sprints, ARDC Midgets, 358 and 360 Sprints, TSRS Sprints, Late Models, go-karts, quarter midgets and a broad variety of vintage and restored drag and race cars. New Egypt, Grandview, Big Diamond, Bridgeport, Hamlin, Action Track USA, Mahoning and Snydersville will again be among the many speedways involved with the 2016 show. The week-long event will set aside one evening to salute the “Stars of Tomorrow” with a special night for the budding young racing talents competing with the many quarter midget clubs in the local area and this night has proven to be one of the highlights of the week as many will be giving their first ever interviews to a sizable crowd.
